It is easy to suggest Lexington Law as a credit repair service since it has the most impressive history when it comes to credit repair. They also offer extras such as credit report monitoring and identity theft protection. The one downside is the price; if you are looking to spend less on credit repair, picking a service that has fewer bells and whistles would be a better bet.

Lexington Law has three tiers of service, giving you three different price points to choose from. Each one offers a different level of credit repair, while the top two offers extras that some other credit repair agencies don’t offer. Here are the tiers you have to choose from:

  • Concord Standard: Concord Standard offers credit repair basics, including bureau challenges and creditor interventions. Lexington Law Firm communicates with your creditors and looks for legal loopholes to get your credit score back to where it should be.
  • Concord Premier: This tier offers even more of those efforts to fix your credit score, offering InquiryAssist and TransUnion Alerts as well as monthly credit monitoring and a credit score improvement analysis, which are good tools to have when you are trying to improve your credit score.
  • PremierPlus: This tier offers everything that is offered in the first two tiers, as well as identity fraud alerts, a FICO Score Tracker, and personal finance tools to help you monitor your finances.

Guarantee: Because lawyers cannot guarantee the results of their work, Lexington Law does not provide a guarantee.

Most credit repair service work the same way, since the efforts it can make to fix credit scores are mostly determined by the laws around credit repair. These laws help consumers against being scammed by a so-called credit repair service.

Lexington Law, like most other credit repair service, will assist you in pulling your TransUnion credit report, which is an additional cost of $14.99 (which is standard.) An agent will then review your credit report with you to find the best plan of action when it comes to repairing your credit report. Lexington Law will only be able to challenge a few negative items a month, since the credit bureaus only allow so many challenges each month per credit report.

Once you decide on which negative marks are the best choice to be removed, Lexington Law will use the tools in its credit repair toolbox to get those negative items removed, whether it be sending good faith letter to lenders, disputing items directly with the credit bureaus, or fixing mistakes on your credit report. Lexington Law will proceed in the same way, month after month, until you are satisfied that it has done all it can do to help your credit score.

Lexington Law is a highly respected company in the credit repair world. It generally sits in the top spot for credit repair, most reviews having positive comments and good feedback on review sites like TrustPilot. Most customers seem to like the way Lexington Law handles their cases, as well as the customer service that the company provides.

That being said, with a company that has been around as long as Lexington Law has, coupled with the expectations people have around credit repair, the company has its share of negative reviews. Many people go into the credit repair process with high expectations of what can be done; in short, they feel like credit repair can magically fix their credit score. The reality is that credit repair companies must operate with the credit repair laws, which means there is no guarantee that a company will be able to raise your score as much as you are expecting. Many people blame the credit repair company because of these expectations, which can skew online reviews.

Take online reviews with a grain of salt, and go into the credit repair process with the knowledge that credit repair companies won’t be able to fix all of your credit score woes.
